When the computer has multiple operating systems (OS) installed this is important to set up how the computer boots up.
There are several ways to configure what OS will boot up by default. The easiest one is to configure computer's System Properties.
So, the following steps describe how to set default startup OS and whether show boot menu or not:
1. Go to Start and choose RUN.
2. In the RUN window type "sysdm.cpl" without quotation marks and press enter.

3. In the System Properties window navigate to Advanced tab and select Settings under Startup and Recovery section:

4. In the Startup and Recovery window under System Startup section you can choose default startup OS, time to display OSs list and time to display recovery options.

Note: if you uncheck "Time to display operating systems list" option the default OS will boot everytime without prompting to choose another one. This is good option when you have only one OS installed or if you only need to use one of many currently installed OSs.
5. Select necessary options and click OK.
